There are different ways to change one's life, but nothing beats a life-changing formula that can be put in practice in a matter of days, not weeks and not months. To save you from the urge of finding the ultimate guide to changing your life, check out our one week guide to exercising, earning and living happily. You need to promise yourself to actualize the daily undertakings we have listed out.

Get the secret keys to changing your life around in a matter of days.

Day 1: Write a to-do list and prepare

To start us off, we are going to give you an important tip on how to prepare for the days ahead.

Always make your tomorrow's to-do list the night before. It is vital to know what you want to accomplish tomorrow before the day starts. Planning a day ahead is the best gift you can give yourself for the next day.

Once you do this, you will feel more productive, and you will achieve more.

Day 2: Create a savings plan

It is recommended that you put a conscious effort if you want to save around 10-15% of your monthly income. The Fidelity retirement savings benchmark recommends that if you are 25 years old and you earn approximately $10,000 per annum, you should save an equivalent of one year's salary($10,000).

At age 30, you should double that amount to ($20,000). At 35 years, you should be at triple the amount which is at ($60,000). You don't have to put aside the exact amount to achieve this goal. If you have an investment plan, this is one way to supplement your savings plan because your money is growing in the market.

Day 3: Prioritize by checking on what you already have and what you want to have

Most of us tend to work very hard to achieve everything we want in order to be happy, this is what is called an ambition trap. It is important for you to know yourself first. What does this mean? You have to distinguish between what you need and what you want. But how can you make that distinction? We are often used to wanting more and more without knowing when it's enough.

It is always about getting more money, more food or more sex, more time, more stuff and even more attention. This makes it hard for most of us to want less.

Always plan to list out what you need first, what you want most of the time is a luxury which you can live without. Avoid spending too much time in wants and put more planning into your needs.

Day 4: Complete important estate planning documents to safeguard your life

As a mature adult, you want to make sure that you protect yourself from financial ruin by completing your estate-planning documents that include power of attorney, your will and healthcare documents.

The power of attorney document is a legal document that allows more than one person legitimate access to your finances, and the ability to decide on what to do with your money when you are not able to. On the other hand, a health directive is the same legal document as the power of attorney, but it works on the medical aspect.

Day 5: Be productive by changing your scenery

There are times when you feel like your productivity is being affected when you are working from home or the office. To make sure that you do not deflate your productivity bubble, a change of scenery can have a huge impact.

You can decide to pick days that you will be working on a different workstation or place. It is said that a change is as good as a rest, let's just say that you will be more productive and become more focused and productive by simply changing the scenery.

Day 6: Stop impulse spending by installing a shopping filter in your Gmail

If you are an online shopping maniac, you can cut down this trend by installing email filters. You will save yourself from making any online purchases with this functionality in place.

The purpose of an email filter is to filter all shopping emails into a shopping folder and not the inbox folder. When the time to look at the price of a particular item is close, you can check the shopping folder for any emails from the retailer you desire to check the sale offers.

Day 7: Prepare a gratitude list

The simple practice of creating a gratitude list can change your life in ways you can never imagine. The beauty of this simple practice is that no matter what happens in any day, you will always go to sleep a happy person.

According to a study that was conducted by the founder of positive psychology movement, Martin Seligan, he found that people who wrote down positive points of gratitude each day went to bed happier and without worries.
